Jaime Suchlicki, uno de los principales investigadores de temas Latinoamericanos, es profesor de Historia y Estudios Internacionales. Ocupa la Cátedra Emilio Bacardí Moreau y dirige el Instituto de Estudios Cubanos y Cubano-Americanos de la Universidad de Miami. Anteriormente fue director ejecutivo del Centro Norte-Sur y editor del Journal of Interamerican Studies and World Affairs. Ha escrito varias obras políticas e históricas sobre Latinoamerica, entre ellas "Mexico: From Montezuma to the Fall of the PRI", "University Students and Revolution in Cuba" y "Historical Dictionary of Cuba". También es consejero para el sector privado y público en asuntos de Cuba y Latinoamerica.
